James Shelton and Robert Shelton

Hailing from Washington, D.C., brothers James and Robert Shelton cut their teeth working in construction from the early 1960's to the mid-1970's.  Studying architecture at Howard University, James Shelton honed his passion for construction and began to work with Shelton and Sons - at the time his fathers construction company.

James and Robert's careers led them to work 40+ years for the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA). At DCRA the brothers started as sheeting and shoring inspectors; this propelled  James Shelton to management positions in several branches of the Building Inspection Division of Washington D.C. When the brothers are not striving to educate and please clients, James and Robert spend time golfing with friends, traveling abroad and spending time with their family.  

Nneka Shelton

Nneka is from Washington, D.C. Her interest in consultant work began when she graduated from Saint Johns University with a Bachelor of Arts in Risk Management and Insurance. Nneka worked as an Account Executive in the private and public sector insurance brokerage firms. Nneka serves as an assistant and permit expediter. She enjoys learning the family business and assisting in organizing office needs. As she works closely with her family, she also spends a great deal of time working with her team developing and growing her fashion-tech startup and doing yoga.
